In celebration of the 40th anniversary of The Beatles invading the U. S. comes the first DVD to reveal the bands very beginnings.
The Beatles with Tony Sheridan (PolydorUMe), released January 27, 2004, features both rare interviews and the first professional recordings ever laid down by The Beatles, recorded in Hamburg, Germany in 1961 and 1962 when The Beatles of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Pete Best were the backing band for English singer Tony Sheridan. Each of the dozen-plus songs has, for the first time, been remastered in 5. 1 surround sound.
Also exclusive to The Beatles with Tony Sheridan is more than one hour of interview footage, including reminiscences from former Beatles manager Allan Williams, former Star Club manager Horst Fascher, and Sheridan.
The DVD technology allows the viewer to play the entire program, the songs with introductions by Sheridan, the interviews only or just the songs.
In addition, the DVD offers more than 200 photographs, many previously unpublished, and a discography illustrated with The Beatles singles covers from the Polydor era.
The deluxe digipak packaging boasts five collectors postcards to further enhance this soon-to-be Beatles collectors item.
