Neil Jordan's The Company of Wolves takes us deep into a macabre fairytale, developing the rich and lurid dreams of an adolescent girl in a world where legends of wonder and fear are woven by the heroine's grandmother.... and becomes reality. It dovetails the sensual, grotesque and magical with the folklore of witches and wolves, but our heroine is determined to confront and dispel the myths which assail her.

The hugely-talented cast includes Angela Lansbury, David Warner, Stephen Rea, Tusse Silburg and Micha Bergese. The film also introduced Sarah Patterson as the young heroine, Rosaleen.
